Whoever suggested DR sunbeams, thanks. Really good string. Got set of lights on F30R. I tried D’A XS mediums on BR and they are not good. 🤷‍♂️
Interesting. That surprises me Wood. I LOVE XS mediums on my mahogany D1A. But again, I've always been a big believer that some individual guitars sound much better with a particular string..........that there is no one size fits all. That you could take 2 D25s for instance, and one might sound better with this string, while the other better to my ear with another. :) Just an opinion.

Oh my opinion on it is not important. If you dig them West, that’s awesome. I think I just don’t like coated strings. But I will leave them on BR as I never play it. For me, fine strings for a guitar that sits out on a stand and never gets played. 😀

For an acoustic that I play daily, I prefer uncoated strings.

I THOUGHT I never liked coated strings either Wood. Seriously. I'd owned about two sets of coated strings years ago, and hated them. I stopped by the local music store one day and bought some of the XS strings, having no idea they were coated, played them and loved them. It was only later I discovered they were coated.:ROFLMAO:

Maybe the ones I got (in $5 string bin) at GC were the XTs. Not the same as XS. 🤷‍♂️

It could've been me. I love Sunbeams and use them on my two smaller body guitars, and mostly use DR Rares on my DCE1 and F44.
Thanks Plaid! They are a tad brighter and clearer than Rares but have a better finger pad feel. Both outshone D’A EJ16s imho
