Are Guild dreadnaughts and jumbos braced for medium (13-56) strings?

First, welcome to a wonderful guitar forum.
Yes, I have played medium strings on my Guild Dreadnaught and Jumbos and no problems. Saying that, my string choice has worked it's way to D'Addario EJ16s (light) for two reasons - they sound great (to me) and are easier to play.

Yes a Guild dreadnought should be able to handle mediums. IMHO for bluegrass, the specialized 12-56 Bluegrass sets have the best balance of volume from low strings to high.
