We’ve touched on this before in various threads. Lynn Dudenbostel posted a few videos of a new triple-0 size guitar using quartersawn white oak as the back and sides. A very sustainable, domestic wood that grows in abundance. (Anyone want some seedlings? I have plenty all around the house.) It was used quite frequently a centupry ago and have been gaining favor amongst boutique builders.
I think an F-30 sized guitar with it might be interesting.

Quartersawn white oak is my favorite furniture wood. It sounds a bit quick and bright like maple on that guitar. I’d rather hear it on a jumbo than an OM so a little bass can develop.
