Okay, I've offered up my battle-scarred but still sonically wonderful '77 S-100 a few times, and have had some interest and a few "I'll buy it" offers, including a pending deal on it. But the power if this guitar is not in the interest it garners, but in its ability to make those interested in it find other S-100s or Guilds to buy. To wit:

I responded to a Craiglist WTB from Caseygree, offering the '77 S-100 to him. He declined, but eventually bought an '82 S-275 that belonged to a friend from a different guitar forum.

Larry Esposito expressed interest, and then I got an offer to buy it from another LTG member. Larry rebounded nicely from his missed opportunity by buying Qvart's '74 S-100 carved.

And I've had conversations with Fearless about the '77 Standard and told him that he'd be next in line for it if the as-yet-to-be-consumated deal fell through. He kept looking and now bought the '73 S-100 in Portland.

Apparently, if you want to find a vintage S-100, just express interest in buying my '77 and you'll wind up finding and buying one (just not mine).

Here's another magical thing about it. Should your deal to sell it fall through, I'd still be interested in buying it. What? He wants TWO now?
Unfortunately.. yes...

You never know, Larry. You did express an interest in buying the '77 Standard. But you got Qvart's '74 Carved, so maybe you better tell me you want to buy my '77 Standard again ... to see if you get the Starfire.

I have expressed interest in the 77 twice so a nice S-100 should be appearing for me any day now...

Hard to believe it hasn't sold yet, that fact alone is magical! I've owned many "S" Guilds (S-50, S-60, S-70, S-300) but never an S-100, I'm long overdue and I need to make it happen. Hopefully this one will be available when I have the cash!

GS, you're back?! How was the trip?

It was everything I hoped it would be and more! All of the places were awesome, but India was my favorite, I like being totally out of my element. It's good to be home to hot showers, clean bathrooms, and Guilds though :D
