Despite being careful and being triple vaccinated, my wife and I have come down with Covid - confirmed with rapid antigen tests which have a very low rate of false positive results. Because we are vaccinated and are generally in good health, the situation is neither serious nor life-threatening. It is, however, not an experience I would wish on my worst enemy. The worst of it was one day of the most excruciating sinus pain I have ever experienced. This has been followed by sinus congestion, mild cough, chills, sweats (no fever), mild shortness of breath, and general fatigue all of which, while persistent, gets marginally better every day. I am on the mend. I have been spared the dreaded "brain fog."
We probably got it from my son, who, although he showed no symptoms at all, tested positive with a rapid antigen test my wife administered. My wife, who is younger than cradle-robber me, has had much milder symptoms. The geezer gets hit the hardest.
Stay safe!
