Thanks a lot! I just noticed the wider nut width in the specs, and then in some of the photos online the neck looked slightly thicker than on the vintage versions I have seen. They don't look too robust in yours though. I had a golden opportunity over the weekend to buy a new one from a dealer at a used price. But that was the reason I passed. If I can't play it all day, I'd rather wait. Maybe I made a great mistake!

I'm gonna' be brief. Sounds and feels great right off the truck. I worried a little but all for nothing. This guitar matches the tone of my '31 Gibson L0, just much easier to play. Nothing negative to say. Now I'm in the honeymoon stage too.

PS: Today marks one month! I've played the Guild every day, and I've only (barely) touched 2 other guitars in the last month. She's loosened up a little, and this is a very exciting stage of new guitar ownership: I'm getting used to her as she opens up! The sustain & tones are GREAT!! The less boomy box (compared to my dreads) is easier to sing over, and my singing approach has changed. Overall, this is a very comfortable & satisfying guitar to play. The burst is beautiful!

Yep, I don't know which I like better, that, or that I still get that "honeymoon" feeling when I open up the case of my F65ce.

Ray you've been so steadfastly reliable in your pursuit of audio clips that I think we should appoint you the official sergeant-at-arms of audio files for the site.
Your first task, should you decide to accept this honor, would be to collect and collate, and cross-reference by brand, model, and owner, all the file links in the site, and I'm sure one of the mods would be only to happy to create a sticky for ongoing maintenance.
Oh WTH, let's cross-ref song titles too.
It should only take about a year, after you get real proficient with Excel or some kinda database manager, right?
I'm in humble awe of your new standing, congratulations!
