Well, Treem and I had one heck of a blockbuster weekend.

The 1970 Blackbird AND a beyond-rare M30 are now his, and I have finally convinced him to let go of the 74 Blackfire.

This deal was a great/sad/great deal for both of us. After chasing after my friend's M-30 (that I always thought was an M-20) for the better part of 20 years, I finally got it and goes and tries to commit suicide. And by some miracle it now plays better than ever. Wow, that's a tough one to let go. Dont' think I'll ever find another one that plays as well.

I know Treem feels the same way about the Blackfire. At least he can cry himself to sleep holding his new 1970 Hollowbody Bluesbird.

Here's the 74 Blackfire next to my Cherry-Cherry '76.

Great deal all the way around, fellas. You both gave up something great to get something great in return. And the best part is that you're close enough to each other, both in proximity and friendship, that the hard-to-part with axes can still be played from time to time.

Well done! :D
