Hi Everyone, I’ve got a chance to get an ‘87 GF30… I like guitars of the Gruhn/Walker era but never played this model. Anyone with experience? Thanks.

I have one, it’s great. They sound great with bare fingers which is mostly how I play but really good strummed with a pick. Great all around guitar for rock, folk and blues.

A GF30 (or a GF25) has long been on my shortlist. The GF30 is reminiscent of the original, arch back F40. I don't think you can go wrong with a min-jumbo, and the arch back models have their own magic.

Thanks for that… funny, but it’s a kind of guitar I’ve never owned (I suppose most of my energy always gone classical!) Feeling positive …!
