At this point the non reverb channel is sounding pretty good! The driver tube is keeping the fx channel noisy but that will change soon. I must say she looks better without the rust & cobwebs, cleaned up pix to come. Scored another Reverberererocket project and that one's REALLY ugly under the hood.

Hi Jake; long time no post; I notice you avoided describing the reverb channel ... is it indescribable? :wink: Looking forward to some more uglyamp pics! John

Jake,

I'm assuming you've replaced the capacitors in the Thunderbird. Did you build a subboard with individual capacitors or did you find someone who has the right mulitvalue units?

I remember seeing a company at a Spartanburg guitar show a few years ago who said they could build them, but I don't remember their name.

Hi Talisman and welcome to LTG. If you remember the name of the mfr, post it up. Otherwise, the 4X40uf/450V is pretty much extinct these days ... :( :wink: CJ
