For the first time, Coastie is speechless. In contrast are the LTGers' expressions of appreciation for the creative and hilarious blues fan from Greymouth.

PS For those who don't know, it was Coastie who came up with the name "Hatted Frau." BC (before Coastie) I thought I had heard every possible permutation on the name "Hattenhauer." And then in my 60s I heard the wittiest version of all.

Mrs. West couldn't resist joining in the fun Coastareeka. You're pretty special. Looks pretty good in a beard, but I'm ready for her to shave now that the picture is posted. :lol: We ran down to Walmart at the last minute, couldn't find a white beard. So I got a dust mask and we bought some white spider web, we stapled it to the mask. The mask fit just fine around my big old head, but Mrs. West had to bite the mask to keep it on her face.

nicely done folks! i also own no vest, so yep mine is the wife's, and the cowboy hat is my 5-year old son's hat...and he took the pic too, which came out better that i thought! hmm mebbe this thread created the next Ansel Adams? coastie costume play is an auspicious start for sure!

Yes, it's a Warner Bros Looney Tunes vest, which Juan is also wearing. He then handed it down to our youngest brother, John Kidder, who will get a pic of himself in it. Originally we were going to keep sending the vest around, but it would have taken too long, and then Don suggested posting this for Halloween.
