The first time I ran into the pop up...which was blocked...was upon log in as well...there seems to be a relationship between the two events...I always clear out cookies, history, and other things multiple times during use...the reinfection seems to occur upon log in...and only on the LTG site...I run AVG free and it hasn't located it...

I've had new tabs popup with Firefox today, only when viewing LTG.

Didn't matter if I was logged in, or "just visiting".

Most-recent one was a website named tuneuppro (possibly just one letter "p"), that wanted to clean my computer. No, thanks.

Definitely seems to be something related to LTG, & no other websites I've used today.

Cleaning up the cookies seems to have worked. No more pop-ups. Knock on Formica.

They're back. Anybody else?

Just had my first one. There have been no hacks on the forum software, or on my server. The only possible alternative is that my Google Adsense account has allowed some hinky back door malware through their regular ad channels. I've blocked a number of software related, gaming, & internet download type ads, & have changed the ad types here for the time being to a simple text based.

If anyone else experiences this, please report the URL of the pop up so I can report them to Google.

Still no real confirmation that this is actually what's happening, but it's the best option at this point.

Ok, changing the ad types again & it's somehow related to the ad types. If it happens again to anyone, please try to capture any information that you can about the offending pop up & actual URL if you're able.

Pop up back today before I logged in. Successfully blocked so I can't ID it for you. There is a fixed ad for download-21 dot you know what appearing in this thread when not logged in, as well as at the top when logged in. That's all the clues I've got. Except whatever ads load, are loading 4 or more page copies from double-click...seems google is not playing nice.

I notice that we've got the animated ads again.

Wouldn't think the malware would have legit URLs anyway. wolf in sheep's clothing.

No issues at all here (IE11), never saw any of those popups, seems to be very computer/browser specific only.
