Vintage Guitar is by far my favorite guitar magazine, partially because its focus is unabashedly on the gear and history of the gear which to me is fascinating.

Very good article above, that was actually my very first issue from my subscription.

Less impressive was the article from this months (maybe March 11 issue? they run a couple months ahead) on the S-100NB Standard Carved, which dsipte being lsited as "wel-built" and having "pickups held in high regard by enthusiasts" was dismissed as an out of place and poorly timed instrument with limited appeal. Although it appears they consulted Hans, they really seemed to botch their history on a guitar we hold in high esteem... ah well. May fire up another post on that.

Hello Dave,

No, they did not consult me!
Way too many inaccurate statements in that article, as I already mentioned in this thread

viewtopic.php?f=15&t=23309&start=15

but it seems like nobody cares!

Sincerely,

Hans Moust

Thanks Hans! I know they mention you in the article but I'm glad to hear you had nothing to do with that pathetic write up! Nothing in it all about the real features of the guitar or why the oak leaves/acorns were used (which I understand was to honor Mr Dronge's untimely passing). Really disappointing article that made me really question that magazine....might write them a letter.
