Weird insert in a pack of strings

I have this little slip:



The QR code leads to a YouTube video of Curt Mangan talking about how to prevent round core strings from unraveling:



The weird thing here is that I have never bought any Mangan round cores. The only round cores I have bought recently are DR Sunbeams, and I am about 85% sure this came out of a pack of Sunbeams, but why would DR (or any other brand besides Mangan) include a link to a competitor's video, even if it's educational?

Maybe they are the same strings? I am just throwing that out there as I have absolutely nothing to base that on.

I think that's great that they send you to instructions via a QR code. Most folks will probably be happy to do that.

Does Curt actually wind his own strings, or are they just wound to his specs by someone like DR?

They say D'Addario and GHS make around 90% of the MIUSA brands out there. It wouldn't surprise me.
