Very cool to see a SN so close, I really got lucky to walk into this guitar. The gent that sold it to me is a friend of my dad, he’s getting older and looking to unload some of his collection. I was on the market for a 335 and when I played this it fit the bill nicely. I typically like DR Blues strings on my LP, but I’ve heard that they don’t handle the Bigsby well so I went with these D’addario NYXL 10-52, we’ll see how they workout, I’ve heard good things.Congratulations, and welcome to LTG. Yours is a near twin to my Starfire II, serial number AG300434, which is from 1997. That was a great year in Westerly!
As for stings? I have mine strung with D'Addario XL 11-49 at the present time, but I'm not much of a six string electric player. Main reason I bought this one was the price was right, and it was so damn pretty!
Good choice. A bright and articulate string. BTW, I use DR Blues 11s with Bigsbys and have no problems to report.
