I'm sure everyone will be happy to know that I found a local option thanks to a tip on the for sale forum from @gjmalcyon
A mid-90s D4-12, with OHSC and the seller wasn't even aware it had a passive pickup installed. Pristine condition. Not quite as much in-your-face jangle as the G312, but very easy to play, quite a bit lighter for gigging and it sounds good through my little acoustic amp.
If I ever get it somewhere with decent light we'll have some pictures sometime.
