Well heck ! I’m gunna say it again , hope it’s the last time I’m sure you all are getting sick of it ! Lmao

I really don’t what to say this dang guitar has me enthralled , why ? It’s the cheapest guitar I have yet it just drives me nuts !

The sustain ! The overtones ! The tone in general ! Dang thing just rings ! Ok so yeah I’m smoke’n the crack pipe again but you all really need to hear these things and I know some have .

I just truly do not know why this thing is driven me nuts . My first om120 sounded good this one is better but I got it because the first one sounded so good . 😊

Ok so everyone’s ears are different, got it ! But why do I keep coming back to this thing . lol 😂 no it’s not perfect ! But man I’m telling ya all if it was ! Holy cow what a guitar it would be !

So I’m still procrastinating on my tune “Alone” which I’m dedicating to my pops who recently passed and Mom who passed exactly one Jewish year earlier. Pops said he’d make it one more year after Mom but did not specify the year type so you can imagine our surprise when the Rabbi mentioned it was exactly one Jewish year .

Anywho , I’ll get it recorded I’m just being overly anal about its precision which I totally suck at so everyone ! Let’s say together ! Take 4,672 ! Lmao 🤣

I hope I can effectively convey this guitars gifts . Ok sorry for the blah blah blah 😑

I don’t think we doubt your OM120’s special character, these new imports are not your grandpa’s lol.

I’m in a burst type mood so the D25 is coming out of the case…

That’s pretty . I wonder why it’s hard to find or see more attractive bursts than the basic sunburst ?

On an acoustic guitar the tried and true black and orange/reddish burst seems to be the only one they use. Probably with good reason, not too many people get crazy colored acoustics.

Now on an electric guitar, I've seen blue bursts, red bursts, and even silver and black. I've seen shades of green, purple and all kinds of different bursts in fact.

Ray, it's all good. Glad you're enjoying it. Keep posted it!

Good luck with the song work, but I don't understand the comment about the Jewish year from your Rabbi... The year is still the same length, it's just the calendar that changes from year to year... Anyway, my fondest wishes for memorializing your parents, Ray. My dad's been gone almost 20 years, and I miss him a lot.

Thanks in part to the price increase thread, I pulled out the trusty D25 for a whirl this morning, serenading the squirrels and crows. Yes, people are asking crazy prices for these on reverb, and dang, what happened with the paint guy that did this burst?

And here is mine:

Shoutout to Dreadnut and hope Louise is still singing.🎶
Hey Bone man. Looks like mine. Guilds best finish IMO. I bought mine new in 1980. It has the arch back with the laminate back and sides.

Think it had to do with this .

In contrast to the solar (Gregorian) calendar, the Jewish calendar follows the moon: a new moon signals a new month, and 29.5 days later, the next new moon – and its month – comes. (To make things “round” in the Jewish calendar, some months have 29 days and others 30 days.)
If you do the math, a 12-month lunar year lasts 354 days – 11 days short of a solar year. So if you only follow the moon, your holidays fall 11 days earlier each solar year, and before you know it, the springtime holiday of Passover shows up in winter and the winter holiday of Hanukkah has crept into summer. (In the lunar-only Muslim calendar, the month-long fast of Ramadan comes 11 days earlier each year and, as a result, can fall in any season.)
To keep each Jewish holiday in its intended season, a “leap month” is added to the Jewish calendar every two or three years. Relative to the Gregorian calendar, there’s a bit of sliding around (hence the “early” and “late” effect), but all within set limits.

Got it, Ray. Again, best wishes putting it together to mourn your folks.

I haven't had one out out in my house for a couple of weeks, but I think the Ibanez AW-75 is coming out for some play time later when I get home from breakfast. Pic coming then...
