At the end of the week will mark 1 month with my guild and this is the “damage” happened to the satin finish just in one month 😂

BTW, Jared, the saddle on your D-40 looks very high. I can't see the action on your guitar, but is it comfortable to play? Just checking...

Here I am playing my F512E 12 string last Sunday. There are introduction slides so the music begins at 10:00

All I see is maybe "arm oil" dulling the finish on the top lower bout where your arm rests, or is that reflection? I usually wear long sleeves when playing. If not, I'll rub that area down after playing because it can cloud up; I almost always rub a cloth up and down the neck anyway....

It looks to me like that area is starting to turn the satin into gloss by some arm polishing.

🎵 Open up the Heavens 🎵 Great lyric. I might use that. 😁

That's quite a group. After your nice intro, you couldn't really hear that big beautiful F512 once the piano, drums, and singers came in. I bet a duet - just you, the F512, and one of the singers - would be a good change of pace....

F412. It's hard to describe in words the sound of a guitar. This guitar's sound is monstrous -- in the "large" sense, not in the "monster" sense. But the word that really jumped out at me today while picking at this girl's strings was: it sings. This guitar really sings out. What a joy to play.

How’s the F412 compare to your JF30-12, now you’ve had more time with it? Is the JF30-12 really just less blingy but for all intents and purposes the same guitar?

I thought he was kidding... @Jared macneill were you referring to some actual damage?

Stopped in at Charlie Hines' Cave Records Studio last week and helped him install a wall-rack system for all his cable storage. Brought along my DV74 to show him. He told me he felt it right up through his chest when he hit the first chord.
Have been playing it regularly, and it has accompanied me to 3 open mics in the past 2 weeks.
