Trying to look up my JF30-12, but the sticker inside isn’t clear… thoughts on determining the year it was built?

Should also be on the back of the headstock.
Also, there should be a date stamp on the treble side of the heel block. That is the date the body was completed, which might differ from the date the entire guitar was completed.

Only for a period during '87.

Stopped in '99 or '00,

@BWinOH: It may have migrated to the end block, something we saw in Coronas recently but haven't confirmed in a Westerly yet, I just know they stopped date-stamping the neck block on Westerlys around '99 or '00.

According to Guild's s/n chart it's a post '96, I'm guessing it's a very late Westerly ca '00 or '01 due to the s/n. Their charts don't actually show anything past '96 with some '97's in there as well.

If you'd like to to nail it down for sure, our member Hans Moust actually has copies of Westerly records. You can contact him here:

Welcome aboard!

I'm gonna guess a really crappy 9 or a 5. But you can tell me if I win anything after you look at the stamp.
It's The One After 909.

Al, I think Marty was talking about the serial number... which should be stamped on the back of the headstock.
I think Al was thinking about that short time period when the actual date was stamped on the headstock as well as the serial number, which was in most of '87 and some of '88. I got kind of confused as well.....
