Since $1 in 1973 would be about $7 in 2023, the range would be about $1,776 for a "budget" D25 to $4,145 for the D-55. And the D-40 was about $2,543. I find it kind of amazing that a US made D-40 Traditional at Sweetwater is currently $2,599 and a D-55 is $3,899.
