I think it's a 1994 but I don't see it in any dating guides or maybe I don't know how to read the guides. lol
Here's the guide I'm looking at:

OK so they were reissued in 1994 and there were 132 made?

Sweet S-100!
I'm trying to remember, did the '94 S-100s have HB-1s or SD-1s? Either way I'm sure that guitar sounds awesome.

@Shredder , don't make that assumption. The table just shows the last of the serial numbers for that model for the year. There could be gaps in the serial numbers produced. Nor do we know if they started from zero. So, what you can assume is that there were no more than 132 made... (i.e., less than or equal).

Oh, I guess you can also assume that yours was within the first 20 of the reissues built. (not which one).

Too bad there's not a list of serial numbers for each one that was made so we know exactly.

During the Tacoma and New Hartford eras, the serial number had encoded in it the exact day of finishing. That was nice. Westerly-built guitars did not have that information. However, in the mid-90s, there were date stamps on the neck blocks of the acoustics... You might hunt around the electronics cavities to see if something similar was done for your guitar, Shredder.

Anyway, it is what it is! Welcome to the world of Guild! :D

The S-100 has a ton of miles on it. It still plays great but It could use a new nut. I ordered a new one. Should be here in a week.

Thanks Ralf. Cool post!!
I bought mine from Century Music in SA, Texas. They were asking $1100. A friend got me a discount so I paid a little over $900.
