Can anyone assist with providing a wiring diagram, or at least instructions, for Guild Pro Pilot 5...which has 4 knobs but no pickup selector switch, and no master volume?

They look like this:

Thanks!

mav, forgive the ignorance, but have you tried push/pull on those knobs? Probably barking up the wrong tree...

So, what's there is probably volume and tone controls for each of the two pickups. ??

Are these different than the regular non-Pro versions that have a volume and tone for each pick-up?

Thanks Chaz. Yes blended (2) vol and (2) tone knobs is what I am imagining. I don't believe there was any push pot function on these, as they are single coils, so there is nothing to split. A series switch could be added for the middle position, I suppose (and activated with a push pot). Right now I would consider any functional wiring I could find a diagram for.

Don't have a schematic to help you out but I'm pretty sure the Pro-Pilots have an active Bass and Treble Boost circuit. There's PC board inside the control cavity. When you crank the Tone knobs up it really makes a difference!

Thanks, all. Mine is the last one on the list from 1994. I am trying to use passive jazz pickups, and have it wired like Starfire bass/guitar, without a master vol or pickup switch. seems I would just need to wire it like a Les Paul guitar with no pickup switch. Any suggestions? Thanks again!

@zulu Thank you!! I had figured it is probably not so difficult. However my local luthier will only follow a diagram. I am guessing your caps on the tone pots are .022?

2 Things have occured to me as a result of this thread.

#1, the original circut for those EMG's in this bass is not simply "2 vols and 2 tones." At least one of the knobs is a boost, and possibly a second one is a filter. EMG does not appear to offer that original circut, now. The current EMG designs include pickup switches, and/or other variants. But I was not really going for the EMG's.

#2, I am realizing a back up plan is to wire it like a Fender Jazz bass. Then just one knob on the Guild would do nothing. But I will try the Zulu diagram. cheers!
