Actually, when I come up to visit, I'll have the same amount of baggage, just different baggage!
And then there's the strip search at the border.......

Stay tuned, eh?

I know it's top secret, but how about listing your guitars in your signature. We can't keep track of what you have and don't have.

Lets see now...80 F512, 72 F112, 67 312, 90 D50, 65 T100d, old Peavey preditor (strat), old Vantage rosewood/plywood dread, beat up old nylon, autoharp.....and.....oh yeah, an A50....is that too many? Steffan

Tom, I think he has decided to keep his collection top secret so as to keep his GAS hush hush.

Now Steff, I'd swear about a year ago you got yourself an Adirondack topped D50, but I don't see it in your "new" signature?

You are right Jim, but I sold it when I bought the 90 D50... That was a 2010 .beautiful, loud bass, fabulous guitar. I came across this older one, and it reminded me so much of my 1st 68 D50 that I kept it instead...the similarity of the sound was stunning to me...like a voice from the past....immediately recognizable ....still love it like crazy....
The newer one was still pretty tight, I think a couple of years of playing would open it right, nice guitar though, without question....Steffan

We buy 'em, we play 'em, we love 'em, we sell 'em....and then we repeat those steps until the word redundancy becomes a way of life, as in....

The Department of Redundancy Department.

It's all very symptomatic of GAS, if you ask me!

We'll just have to wait until I have it in my hands on Monday, so I can make sure it's a keeper. There's a story behind the direction I took to get there but that was half the fun!

As far as the A body to the D, vivre le difference, mon ami!
I remember the feeling with the A25.

Another 'burst A-50!!! I LOVE mine. I got her December 13, 1995. Beautiful looking and sounding instrument. Great for fingerpicking blues things, some Bach, and stuff like that. Also has a bit of the arch-top kind of midrange that makes my fake jazz chords sound very cool.

Congratulations!
