That might be a long thread!Maybe we should start a thread - "Guild guitars bought from Richard P."
And so did my Orpheum 14 fret - came from Barton City.Well, I know I shared a gift circle with "guys named Rich" with my Orpheum 12. And two others of mine came directly or indirectly through Richard P.
Quick recovery, Richard!
Put me down for two from Richard.Maybe we should start a thread - "Guild guitars bought from Richard P."
You know, I'm still drooling over the Pacific sunburst on the standard version, GG. If a deal comes up on one of those someday, I might have to swap something out of the collection for one. Anyway, your burst is beautiful.
Outstanding, walrus. Congrats (in advance). Actually, I was laid off from my (final) job, but I've been treating it as retirement. I was planning to work another 2 years or so (I'm "only" 60, after all). But having started in the business as a young man (21) and after 38 continuous years in high-tech, living with "survivor's guilt" almost the whole time, I was more than ready. The working world is barely recognizable these days, and I am no longer interested.
Good luck in your plans. How anyone can work in higher education these days is beyond me.
Well, it was a tremendous gig for four decades, but I will agree the whole higher education environment has changed. I won't discuss the detials, since none of them are allowed as topics on LTG!
The only thing that remains the same, and is still enjoyable, is spending time with the younger generations. But I am getting tired!
Looking forward to playing more guitar!
They hit a home run with this model, even if it's not named properly. <cough> F-48 <cough>If a deal comes up on one of those someday, I might have to swap something out of the collection for one.
Well, yeah. I won't fault the design team for marketing's stupidity. They hit a home run with this model, even if it's not named properly. <cough> F-48 <cough>
Why'd you have to do that, Schoolie? Just curious. Beautiful guitar!hen I pushed out the original bushings, the facing came up
Interesting. Forgetting the nomenclature, did Guild ever make a rosewood-bodied concert-sized guitar? I can't think of any. It's a good idea, GG.Man, I wish they would do the M-40 with a rosewood body. Call it an M-45 or M-50, I don't care. I want one.
