They have their place. The same way someone wants an LP junior, why not a single neck pickup?Dunno, still think its an extremely limited market. You're basically looking for someone that's looking to pose with a style of guitar, rather than play one that's useful. In essence, Guild have reissued a beginner's guitar, with limited fret access and limited sonic range. At $1200 street (is that correct?) you're probably better off buying a vintage Gretsch Clipper for less money.
I suppose. It just doesn't seem to me to be a big enough "niche" for which to reissue a model. Arguably, the LP Junior could be utilized for a broader spectrum of music (but I don't like those guitars either). They have their place. We'll see if Thomann sells out their limited numbers anyway.I suppose. It just doesn't seem to me to be a big enough "niche" for which to reissue a model. Arguably, the LP Junior could be utilized for a broader spectrum of music (but I don't like those guitars either).
Time will tell.I wonder if this will be the last of the Korean Guild 'leccies.
What makes you say that? Am I out of the loop again ?I wonder if this will be the last of the Korean Guild 'leleccies.
I'm not seeing this. Not sure where you get that info from? The conjecture (lately) is that Korean-built is going away.
Like I said, conjecture, Ralf. I know several of us have said this here, based on the evidence of many new models coming out of Indonesia (and Starfires migrating there as well) but again no real info to show.I'm not seeing this. Not sure where you get that info from?
