How does this tune-o-matic arch-top bridge look? Would this be an upgrade?

http://www.stewmac.com/Hardware_and...r/Tune-o-matic_Bridge_For_Archtop_Guitar.html

The current bridge is not sitting flush on the top, but now I'm wondering if I wouldn't be better off sanding it to shape and just using the bridge I have..

Also, does anyone know what the original machine head style would have been? All the pics I google seem to have replaced the tuners... :p

Hey guys, I'm still seeking info on what style tuners the T100-D would have had originally. I've thinking large old school Grovers may be the way to go?

Also not sure what to do about the bridge from a players perspective. Should I get a wooden one like the original, or a tune-o-matic, or just have the current one sanded to fit the top...

Your thoughts will be appreciated!

Assuming you guitar has a serial number between 22723 and 28943 it would be a 1963 one. However I don't know if they still used the 3-in-line Waverly tuners or maybe open style Grover tuners. You need to ask Hans Moust regarding your specific serial number, he would be able to tell you. http://www.guitarchives.nl/guitarsgalore/contact.php
