Is anyone having performance issues when viewing LTG?

Specifically, does this site seem slower to load than other sites?

I've had a report that a user is experiencing issues only on LTG. I don't experience a problem and I don't see any issues on the backend, but it's always worth asking.

Thanks!

No issues here via Spectrum internet in central MA GAD. Site performs great ever since you took it over!

Aren't there pills for performance issues?

I don't notice anything with LTG. But GAD.net can be noticeably slow especially when looking for catalogs. I figure that has a lot to do with who is paying for hosting so I'm all right with it.

You are the network guy but the user facing portion of my career is littered with users who thought they had diagnosed a problem and presented their findings as the solution. If I were back on the payroll I would ask what are the specific issues? For example a site was called out as being the problem but the real issue was that the site was the only place the user browsed that had a lot of images and the performance issue was the bandwidth consumed to load images and nothing to do with the site. There was also one where, and I still don't know how this happened, but the browser was not caching one site and thus the site was perceived as slower.

GAD.net catalog pages are a different and known issue.

This thread is a means whereby I am challenging my assumptions by asking for wider input. My assumption is that the system is performing fine in regards to LTG and that the problem is client-based. It's always worth challanging such assumptions while troubleshooting.

Further troubleshooting has narrowed the reported problem down to a single client machine, so stand down from yellow alert, or whatever this was. Maybe sort of a light goldenrod notification? I don't know. :)

It was slow editing a post a minute or two ago, but everything else seems pretty zippy.

[wait, while posting that, I got the yellow bars in the upper right hand corner for a second, which I am guessing indicates 'processing.']

Never been a problem either on my desktop or cell phone...actually, this software works here than...well, better not say, they just did an upgrade...

On another note, Frono, I love it when you talk dirty, I have not a clue what you just said here :p

I hate having been on the leading edge of technology, and by the 90's on the trailing edge...guess I am just an analog guy

If you have sunflowers and also a feeder with mixed seeds, you get both goldfinches and house sparrows ;)

Though, I don't know how to get the seeds into this Dell desktop o_O

We have both but the goldfinches are not as common here.

Maybe sort of a light goldenrod notification?

was the trigger...

The other day, LTG was loading slowly for about an hour or so. It took the pages a bit to load with the bars going by. All my other tabs were loading fine and quickly. So I just took a little break from LTG and when I went back everything was fine. No big or major problems here, other than that slow period for a short while.

I just shut off all yellow alerts from my phone, GAD. OK, actually it was amber alerts, but goldenrod is good too! All good!!!! :D :D
