Bass scale length and resulting string scale length tensions are unpredictable things...

POP! I've figured that out the hard way as well -- most notably Labella flatwound strings, which also break if you try to string them on a thru-body style bridge without buying the tapered set, specifically designed for this purpose.

Good to know, I just put a set of labella flats on a thru-body bass, I’ll have to check on that!

I lived across the bay from an air force bass…every time they fired up the engines from the big planes my cell phone signal would go out!

Bear did a nice job on the inlay, love the circles with cross bars and the key hole

I think the original design for the inlay was done by Jorma's wife if I'm not mistaken?
