In this shot just lying on my bed you can see the blue a bit better. The Myrtlewood back and sides are darker and more blue, the spruce comes up a little grayer. You can also see the depth it has which gives it a lot more power. This guitar can do anything!!

Oh, that is so nice. Love the herringbone on it. I would love to play it.

Like the descriptor "vintage", referring to any small guitar as a "parlor" guitar has become popular, and like anything popularized, takes on whatever (inaccurate or false) definition anyone wishes to assign to it. Look at ebay guitar listings, f'rinstance. Every guitar smaller than a jumbo or dreadnaught is now a "parlor" guitar.

And on the Big/Little tip...I have been playing this 1965 F-30 for about a month and astounded by it's full-bodied responsiveness...then this '67 F-50 showed up today...it's like the 30 is a nice upright piano, but the 50 is an 11-foot Steinway!

Big Guild, Little Guild you say?...

...here's my 1977 D50 & my 2016 M120E.

I just got the M120E and couldn't be happier. It's the perfect compliment to my D50 - small vs large body, mahogany vs spruce/rosewood, pickup vs no pickup. It's fair to say that I'm spoilt for choice!
