Carvin has been on my radar since my teenage years when I would get their catolog in the mail. Catalogs are no longer needed with the internet, but Carvin is still offering what appears to be very high quality guitars at a great price. I have their Nomad amp and love it. Recently I have been considering their CT-624 as an alternative to the pricey PRS Custom 24. The Carvin model has a carved 4A top, mahogony body, and options for a 5 piece mahogany neck, along with many other options that make each guitar unique. Along with a tweed hsc one can be had new for around $1700 with some nice options. The YouTube videos I have seen are very impressive, but I was wondering if anyone out here has any personal experience with this model?
Perhaps Guild needs to come up with something to compete with the PRS? If they did I, for one, would find it difficult to resist.
