Well, shoot! We didn't have to get a new pole when ours broke. I had duct tape and paracord in the closet! And one better, also wood glue.

Looks like something my Father-in-Law would have done. He grew up poor in Southwest Georgia back in the depression. He didn't like to waste anything. If it was metal, it could be used for just about anything besides it's original application.
