LOL what’s the difference?I mean, don't delete the contributions or likes or whatever.... but who's going back through all this??? NO ONE!!! So let's have a clean slate and then no one gets upset..... or we all do... Whichever!!
memory space or something? Oh never mind......LOL what’s the difference?
I used to work with a woman who was so cheap she would bring food to restaurants on our group’s Friday lunches out. It was pretty embarrassing. I was too junior at the time to feel like I could say anything about it.
Maybe she was too poor to be able to afford lunch. Closer to Home. Soundtrack of my adolescence. Not boring!
The Greeks Don't Want No Freaks, the Thais don't want no cake. (This is how my brain works when I'm at home with a respiratory virus coughing up my lungs).
Awww, that sucks!! Feel better soon. I hate being sick....The Greeks Don't Want No Freaks, the Thais don't want no cake. (This is how my brain works when I'm at home with a respiratory virus coughing up my lungs).
I know this should be over in the Retirement thread, but I realized that the best thing about retirement is not having to force yourself to go to work when you're sick, or feel guilty and insecure when you choose to stay home.Awww, that sucks!! Feel better soon. I hate being sick....
That's for sure!! Shame to waste retirement days being sick, but no grief from anyone at least!!I know this should be over in the Retirement thread, but I realized that the best thing about retirement is not having to force yourself to go to work when your sick, or feel guilty and insecure when you choose to stay home.
Yeah, when I was in graduate school back in prehistoric times, my wife worked to keep the boat afloat. She would go to lunch with the gang at work sometimes, and take her own lunch. She was severely chastised by one venue for doing so. There really are two sides to this kind of thing. Restaurants don't make money providing tables for non-paying customers; but still . . . . . . . . . I don't think any of the work gang ever went back to that place. Makes me think of GAD's encounter at Normans Rare Guitars. GAD's reporting of his attempted visit "got around" here on this forum.Maybe she was too poor to be able to afford lunch. We all look back to when life was simpler, and AI just meant Artificial Insemination.Ahh, the font-induced ambiguity between a lower case L and an upper case i. IlIlIlIlIl
I remember that!! What an awful experience. Norman should take a lesson from the late Stan Jay @ Mandolin Bros. in Staten Island. As soon as he heard we came all the way from Los Angeles, he personally gave us a tour and even took us upstairs to the SUPER EXPENSIVE AND RARE room!! Such a nice guy. What a great memory.I’m still salty about that. As it would turn out that was my last chance, too, as I am no longer traveling and my daughter is no longer in LA.
She was a GS15 with one kid. I’m pretty sure she could afford lunch out.Maybe she was too poor to be able to afford lunch. You never know what people have going on.
