Bad News were a spoof heavy metal band, created for the TV series "The Comic Strip Presents...". The episode, "Bad News Tour", took the form of a documentary and was filmed at the same time as the far better "This Is Spinal Tap". They made a follow up, "More Bad News", which was based around their real life appearance at the Monsters of Rock Festival. The band's members, Vim Fuego, Den Dennis, Colin Grigson and Spider Webb, were played by comedy actors Adrian Edmondson, Nigel Planer, Rik Mayall and Peter Richardson, with Edmondson's wife Jennifer Saunders and her comedy partner Dawn French also appearing.I wasn't sure where to put this. I remember it as being good fun, but, as I've already said, nowhere near as good as Spinal Tap!
