This is me, my dog Frank, and behind me is a tree that I planted (a Bismarkia Nobilis) 11 years ago. The tree was 3 feet tall at best, my dog was 5 and I was 40.

Now this was today. The tree is now 25 feet tall with 12 feet of clear trunk and Frank's face has lost it's color. Where the heck did the time go?

He doesn't look too bad for a 16 year old Bassett hound. Now me that's another story. :p

Awwwww, c'mon.... all three of ya look great, Scotty!! The time just seems to fly by, you know? This will probably lead to all kinds of links to "Who Knows Where The Time Goes" by Judy Collins and Sandy Denny.

I don't know where it goes, just that it does. Thanks for posting the pics, amigo!! :D

great post. Your bassett's holding up fine, and the tree looks huge. You don't look all that bad for 51, hell it's the new 41 :p

No wife, no kids, no problem.  My beard is gray if I don't shave.

Joe the tree is a specimen palm called a Bismarck Palm, I paid $125.00 for it back then and now I could sell it for $3000-$4000 easily. I wish I had planted 10. They go 60 feet tall in the wild. I do have other palms on my property; Foxtail, Ponytail, Robellini, and Bottle. I love palms. No messy leaves dropping all the time, just a frond now and then.

Frankie Five Angels is hanging in there. I hope he sees 012. He's lost a lot of weight recently and has gone completely blind. He eats and poops like a horse and is very mobile so his quality of life is for now still good.

Thanks for sharing. I'm thinking all look just fine after 11 years. "Time goes by so slowly, yet time can do so much." Frank's just one cool dog!!!

Peace

You know how horses poop, don't you Scott? They more or less go wherever the feeling strikes them.

Seriously, all of you and the tree look great. Like Ian says, I could probably use some lawn care advice after the last week.
