Here’s one of my solid body electrics. There weren’t many for the 3 years, this one has a rare Plum Crazy metallic finish. Washburn guitars have been my hobby for about 30 years. When I use it, I play through the LRBaggs Paracoustic preamp and Body Rez module I use on all my acoustics passive or active, for a deeper bodied acoustic sound. Great for recording and I’m far less sloppy for that With it. It’s got a 1 11/16 nut, thin satin maple neck thats really smooth and fast. Low action. Large frets. I use the same EJ16 12’s I use on everything. The neck connects to the body at the 17th fret, with 22 total. I like soloing on my acoustics and I have access all the way to the last fret. The rosewood bridge has an earlier Washburn designed saddle. The pieces that the strings sit on are independent of each other and they float, each string making 100% contact with the piezo underneath. This was a great concept. A really neat guitar

Neat! Is that made in Japan?
Yes pretty much. It was one of those parts were built and finishes done in Japan, but final assembly was done in Buffalo Grove, Illinois just before the Washburn Custom shop was opened in Chicago. I’ve got a nice custom shop dread from there in 2004. I’ll start a new thread for that one. I’ve had it 10 plus years, hardly ever play it Im to nervous. I’m fixing to list it on Reverb
