(I saw School of Fish at Hammerjacks in Balt when that tune was a hit. One of the worst shows I've seen. Several band members got into a fight on stage, they walked off. 10 min later they begrudgingly came back on, played Three Strange Days and said, "Sorry, show's over!" I think they played 4 whole tunes! The local opening band then brought their gear back on stage and played another 40 min)

one of my fave songs of all time. REM created 2 of my favorite albums: Murmur and Document. Just brilliant work...
When I was 18, I saw them play outside at Brown university in Providence RI. I don't remember a lot of that night, but I do remember someone in the band introducing all the members. They went thru the 3 and then the drummer introduced Stipe:

"and here is Michael Stipe, on acid..."
