I love this amp, lightweight and 60 Watts, it is perfect for small gigs and open mics but has some power and separate channels for guitar and vocal mic. Problem is every time I touch it or bump it on something, the tolex (not sure that's actually what it is) flakes off. I bought it new a few years ago, I think from Sweetwater.
Anyway, I wrote to Fishman customer service and they said "OK, ship it back to us and we'll re-cover it at no charge for you." They sent me Return Authorization documentation, and I shipped it today, Shipping was $58 including $300 worth of insurance. This is worth it to me seeing as the amp is way outside the one-year warranty period - like 3 years. But I gave them the serial number, and they authorized it. Looking forward to getting it back with some actual Tolex on the outside so it doesn't look like a crappy, beat up old amp. Well, I suppose you could call it "roadworn" or "relic'd."
Either way, I'm happy that Fishman owned up to using defective materials and is making it right for me. I will not hesitate to buy more Fishman products in the future because of this experience.
