I have to at least get her to where we can play together   Might have to name her Victoria, she does look a little sultry. Kind of has a ring to it don't you think. We could have a vote, yea or nay
Wouldn't be the first time I've helped name a guitar around here. I say "yea". :D

Well almost there! Still working on getting a pickguard having one made, but would still be interested if anybody has on that would work, especially an original, but not much chance of that!

Here's another picture with strings, sounds great! Working on something so everyone can hear it. It's comming but may take a few weeks.

Everyone have a great day!

Hello fellow LTG'ers,

Well I've run out of parts to put on the Starfire, so I guess there's nothing left to do but keep it busy playing music.

The last part, was a reproduction pickguard, aquired on the Bay. The Starfire has been out a few time lately and has been a big hit at the few jams that it's been to so far. It's going out again tonight for a little more action 8) These will probably be the final pictures posted unless I get a few action shots. And keep an eye out, you never know who may show up playing her

I also, would like to thank everyone for all of the kind words, and the tremendious amount of moral support for this project. I can only hope that everyone has had as much fun, as I have had being able to do this restoration. A special thanks to our own DAPM Dave, for calling my attention to this guitar at the begining without that we wouldn't be here now. Let's not forget Hans who provided the tailpiece for the guitar! I mean, how could it ever look like a Guild without one? Also, for the great wealth of information contained in his book, and his willingness to continue to keep us informed. Pictures from Han's work were studied often throughout the project.

I'll still be around on the board, and there will be more projects yet to come. Please feel free to ask questions, or for my input on anything I can help with. Well without futher ado, here are some pics.

BTW looking forward to meeting some of you at Let's meet Guild II, rumor has it that the SF may be there

Pretty, ain't it? And the guitar sounds just as good as it looks. Really a sweet guitar.

Darryl,
I don't think the binding is new, if you look on page 1 of this thread you see the original pictures and the binding was pretty damn good looking. Also if you watch where Fixit took of the black color, no binding cracks to be seen.
