About six weeks ago I took my 1970 D-40 in for a neck reset and a couple of other repairs. I bought it in 1985; it was the first lefty guitar I bought after I started playing lefty. So it's special to me.
The repairman told me it would take a month or more before it was ready. So I waited patiently. But the night before last I had a dream that I went to pick my guitar up only to see it in pieces on the workbench. "It couldn't be salvaged," the repairman said. The dream upset me a lot, even after I woke up from it.
It bothered me so much that I called the repairman to ask when he thought it might be done. He was working on it just then and said it would be ready in a day or two.
He just called to tell me my guitar was ready.
