They don't appear centered in the binding, is there a reason for that?
I had to take a paper sheet and put it on top of my screen to verify - I saw one dot EXTREMELY small part of one dot being higher than others - maybe about 0,1 mm . . . . = 1/250 of an inch - close enough. 🐾

I'll just have to scrap the whole thing!

(Yes, I'd seen it. Tiny drill bits like to drift, no matter how much you pre-awl.)

Got home from Columbus this evening (managing to avoid all the storms somehow!) to find a package waiting for me.
I'd been wanting a new carving knife. The Swiss Pfeil knife was good, but it's straight edge proved limiting at times. So I went to Sweden for a good Sloyd knife. (Sloyd was a Scandinavian system that taught children basic, and some not so basic, hand crafts. Chief among them was learning to use a Sloyd knife for various things. @Nuuska was this a Finnish thing too?)
You can see that it has a carved edge, which will help carving heels, etc. Even comes with a sheath (albeit plastic )

Never heard of Sloyd - but in my childhood every kid had a knife and was cutting wood with it. We had woodbutcher-classes in school. Depending of teacher - sometimes nice - sometimes agony. Luckily I managed to keep the flame burning . . .
