Now that's a rara avis!
The show was "Perfect Strangers". Balki's cousin was Larry Appleton. I watched too much TV back then. The character's name - and maybe name of show - was Balki.
I enjoyed that show. Perfect Strangers was filmed on the old MGM lot and was in the Lorimar family of shows when I worked there. David Salzman with Miller/Boyett producers. Fun show. I used to see Bronson Pinchot and Mark Linn-Baker on the lot all the time. Placed temps in the studio where it was shot.I will reference my answer by quoting the main character in a TV show when he moved into an apartment with a previously unknown cousin in Chicago. The character's name - and maybe name of show - was Balki. Balki's catch phrase was, "Don't Be Ridiculous" with his Mediterranean accent.
Am I crazy or didn't you say you had a D25 also?I have only the one Guild, my 70 D 35. The others are my Martin D 35 Custom, my 65 Texan, and recent Santa Cruz D PW. It has been close to a month now since I played anything but the Santa Cruz. I did check the others, and still like them. We'll see how this all pans out. It is new territory for me.
actually found the slightly thicker neck profile of my own D40 got more comfortable over the years, If you don't hook your thumb over the fretboard, I think that extra bulk actually helps the muscles work with less stress. I notice it in particular on the higher frets. Or it could just be the peculiarities of my hands.I am very afraid I may be nursing the start of carpel-tunnel, so I am trying the slim necks at the moment...but it may be that
the thicker neck NH F47R could wind up being the "keeper"
I only have one and it gets used a lot although I have other guitars. Alvarez, Gibison, Epiphone, Olympic.I know many of you have many different Guild acoustics. Over the years., accumulating etc. I saw how Brick has 3 he keeps in a constant rotation. Does anyone have just the one?
My Br is the only one I play. The other is my wife’s. I don’t do well with a lot of options.
Just wondering.
