That describes my Santa Cruz. A richness and clarity without filling in every sonic space. My 00 15 12 fret was great for that, but a casualty of buying the SC.The SC has scalloped adi braces with hide glue for the braces only. I don't know what is hype but whatever, it has a richness without the smear of rosewood. I'm indebted to whoever ordered the guitar with mahogany instead of the more common rosewood. The herringbone and bear claw completes the package. But I did not know what I was buying except for playing the guitar. After, I researched the guitar via Santa Cruz. Hard to believe the D P/W is their cheaper alternative LOL.

But I'm not sure it would best the Guild in a rhythm track.
Santa Cruz? Have a friend who has had, has, and is having another one made for his wife. We're all friends with Richard around here. We all live in the Santa Cruz area. He's a great guy and has certainly figured out how to make a great guitar. Does your 00 have a larger lower body than a standard 00 has? Standard meaning a Martin maybe? I'm curious.
