Not going. But we’re supposed to get 91% coverage here.

I usually watch this from Bowie's pal and it eclipses pretty much everything. I must say it freaked me out in 81-82' but not much these days ! LOL

Don’t have to travel. Hudson is dead bang in the middle of the totality zone. But in NE Ohio, it’ll probably be overcast!
As the late meteorologist Dick Goddard once said, it’s not unusual in NEO to predict “partly cloudy” and wake up the next morning to 18” of partly cloudy on the ground,

I was just talking to a friend about the eclipse and he asked me, "Are we going to lose power?"

Huh?

And, yes, he asked in all seriousness.

There’s an article on CNN: will your cell phone work during the eclipse?

Tell him no worries as a flat earth power grid won’t be effected by the fake circles in the sky.

Actually, almost always not worth the effort.
in 2017 we were wintering at our place in Puerto Rico and got a perfect view of the eclipse. We got real excited about it and there was a huge crowd around the old fort where we walked to. It was really interesting for all of ten minutes, but I don't think I would drive very far to experience it again. I'm in Iowa for this one. I'll just go out in the yard and be happy with whatever I get this time around.

Depending on where you live, full eclipse will last a good long time, maybe around 2 hours, and if you depend on solar energy, well, good luck.
