Kind of inevitable, like a re-fret or neck re-set, then? Label maintenance? Who-d'a thunk.

A Westerly label might actually need 4 or 5 re-glues over a hundred and fifty years.
LOL. Yeah, but the Waverly labels are forever.

A new criteria when shopping for "vintage" Guilds: "That's all nice, Bob, but is the label attached with the original hide glue?"

(Seiki san, please ignore our hijacking of your serious question, as this is just what we do, here.)

any comments and conversation are welcome for me and i m enjoying just watching threads.
really good for me to learn new way to express in english :)

since the label was peeled off, first of all, i thought it just a glue, would buy glue in DIY shop. then it would be over
but here s my first post in LTG, as Mr. Hans Moust told me there,
my D55 has sprayed finish inside the body to avoid humidity, so i start concerning about chemical reaction or mismatch between the coating in the body and label glue...
the birth of my multiple concern or question for this thread. what kind of glue ? does tone wood matters? etc

now thanks for all, i m trying to buy elmers spray.
if gorilla spray wont take time to import, i d like to use it.
i m actually want to send my guitar to Chris and had him to care but shipment fee would be crazy only for applying the label.
umm makes me feel i wish i was in the US.
