There are numerous pictures of Dolly in black leather and many of them are recent. The release of her album Rockstar in Nov. was accompanied with a new look and fans are divided as to whether it is a good thing or she should "dress her age".

That said there is a lot about that picture that makes me think it was Photoshopped. Like you, I think posing with a destroyed instrument seems out of character as does the suggestion that she broke it.

Dolly looks great for her age, and of course, she can do whatever she wants. She's always been on the verge of being stylistically trashy, and that was done on purpose. Good for her.

This album was the direct result of her being voted into the RNRHOF. I have given up trying to understand why they induct country and hip-hop artists, when bands like Steppenwolf and The Guess Who are not members. I've toured the museum and it's a great visit, but their criteria for membership is very confusing and, I suspect, political. I used to think if Jann Wenner didn't like you, you didn't get in. Now that he's gone, maybe that will change, but I'm not holding my breath.

I think they should change their name to, The Rock & Pop Music Hall Of Fame.

Looks like a Blue Ridge. A pretty crappy sounding guitar. I can identify with the kabong.

Now that's a guitar I'd love to try and put back together.
It's a no-lose situuation. As it is, it's essentially kindling, so if it can't be successfully restored to playability, it's no loss.
But a feather in a restorer's cap if they turn it back into a guitar.
