Dear Ray: He said his shoulder was bothering him and he'd get some audio when he could. So would you HUSH UP!! Jeeze....

Tx, that's a 12-string to end all 12-strings!! Mostly I like the balance you struck between being totally refinished and keeping as much original as possible. It looks like a 44 year old guitar that's been used, but well-cared for! I love that!! Congrats on getting it home and THANKS for restoring this amazing piece of Guild history for us to look at and drool over!! :encouragement::encouragement:

Me very sorry not see last paragraph and not my fault the pictures distracted me ! Look you'll see it to I got all wobbly my eyes rolled back in my head! If tx listed the injury first away from the pictures I would seen it lol

Sorry Tx have a Grolsch on me Err ... In a glass I mean ;)

......As far as the tone is concerned, the best way to describe it is like listening to 2 F512's in Stereo. The lows are the deepest and clearest I have ever heard on a 12 string and the balance across the board is AMAZING! I would also liken it to sounding like a Grand Piano in a large Hall. When strummed it truly sounds like a symphony of instruments playing together. It sounds like 10,000 angels all trying to get out if the sound hole at the same time. The response while finger picking and flat picking is wonderful as well. I had always heard that the F612 was the pinnacle of 12 string sound and I could only imagine how wonderful they were. After playing this one it has wonderfully surpassed any expectations I previously had of how great they actually were....

You should add a review to the "User Review" section, as I don't think there are any 612 reviews in there.

Sigh.....my old 1972 F-30 sounds like 1 disgruntled angel trying to get out of the sound hole.....but it's a keeper for me.....:very_drunk:

Ray's not bothering me, This is a great community that I am proud to be a part of!
+1 TX

Let me just say and you should know already if not you'll figure it out sooner or later and that I'm harmless !

I'm not a working pro like some if not all of you Im a working my backside off laymen and getting to old keep at it can't walk today had to leave work even driving was hard .

See how I through that in huh ? .... For fun ! It's true but I'm twisted even at myself as I suffer lol

I have bad spelling don't make the money I want . When I type the words leave the brain before I type them oh I hear them spoken but only every other word or worse makes it to the fingers then I hit send thinking there all there .

Also my typing finger tip is bent 90 degrees you try typing with that going on hmm if I was crossed eyed I see two then I might hit the right letter ? Hahaha ....

Anyway I'm full of love and if anyone is offended it's your fault for not understanding . I'm different and I'm proud of it least I'm not screwing up the world .

My music says everything about me :)

So very sorry for ranting but I think many are not bugged with me maybe one or two that I noticed and to bad for them not being more open minded and good enough to try and figure out what's up . I hate no one . Just understand I miss things sometimes . One of my screen names is Agradeleous I cut it short to Ags said like Ahags if I did that right so long as it's not A, G ok so what's that about its about doing what I do best and that is ... Ag hugs to everyone ;)

Tx heal well sir .

What are geezer requirements? No, I'm not planning to apply since I'm already a geezerette.

Hey Tx, I'm trying to remember exactly how many of these were made. Do we have an actual count? I know it's VERY few, but do you know how many were made? My eyeballs are still whirling in their sockets!! :encouragement:

I have heard anywhere from 10-15 and I have also heard anywhere from 18-25. I think Hans or Ralf may have a better handle on the total number made or the total number Still left in existence. I know there are not too many of them out there. Awagner has one, Shot Put owns 2 of them I believe, There was the one that sold form Mandolin Brothers a few years back, I remember hearing one was found in a dumpster some time ago. I believe there are 2 in the John Denver Collection. With mine that makes a count of 7 that I know of if none of the a fore mentioned are repeats.

Found in a dumpster?! Good gosh! Was it restored?

Yup, It was found in a dumpster with a broken neck I believe but all the pieces were there. I'm not sure if it was restored or not, Some one here on the forum may have more info on it as I believe it was a couple of years before I joined.

I remember the dumpster F612. There's a whole thread about it here somewhere. I'm not good at searching on LTG, so.... maybe someone else can find it. Thanks for the info, Tx. They sure didn't make very many!! :encouragement:

That's it Joe, I just got done reading that. That one all beat up and needing major work and possibly a new neck sold for $3800+!!! That is Crazy! Apparently there were some issues with it's background as well. I wonder if anyone ever really tracked down where it originally came from to find out if the story was true or not?

That's a magnificent beast. I would look like Little Jimmy Dickens playing it. I'm a little concerned that my 512 makes me look like him....
