I got about a foot as well (this was yesterday morning on my deck... much deeper out in the open yard), but it should be gone in the week since rain is in the forecast... the kids and pups are digging it before it all melts

Dunno James, looks like they are "diggin' in it" but not "diggin' it" too much

But when ya gotta pee, ya gotta pee (y)

My little "not-so-mighty-Husky" Husquarva (pitiful 7 hp +/-) did OK because we had light-and-fluffy, had it been much heavier the old
Mighty-Husky (10.5 hp) would have been pressed into service, but its like a bronking bull to muscle around...and all my muscles know I used it afterwards! Diclofenac was not needed last night, thankfully ;)

Our snow was fairly wet... and my can of gas smelled a little funky (purchased fall of 2022! Meant to replace it), so my Husky still sits in the garage. The kid and I just shoveled a path from the door to the street.

@James Hart , my experience is that Husky's are VERY susceptible to "old gas" troubles...has to do with the Ethanol added
at the pump. At the least a good drain and maybe a tankful of "AVgas" non-Enthanol fuel will be required...if not a carb removal and
cleaning...ask me how I know this ☹️

Agreed! I drained the blower before storing (did a fresh oil change too), I went to fill it from my can but the old gas went bad.

The weather system reached us yesterday and we had a mixture of intermittant snow and continuous rain throughout the day. Except for the weight, the volumes that fell were not exceptional, but nevertheless, with my bad shoulders, I chose to shovel easily four times, rather than once with difficulty (also keeping in mind that I have two hockey games and a music lesson later this week that require me to have some motion in my arms).
And by late evening, virtually all traces of the precipitation had disappeared.
Just par for the course, up here in The Great White North.

Last night I went to bed and there was still the better part of five inches of snow. This morning it's all gone.

Well, it's cold here. Well, cold for us. 26 this morning. Yesterdays forecast called for snow flurries tonight after 10 pm, but this morning suddenly there's no mention of snow at all. Just up at Mt. Charleston, but this is the first time this year that the mountains have had snow!!

Whatever that wet and windy storm that went through Md all day yesterday was…had it been 10 degrees colder, it would have absolutely been a blizzard. Be careful up north…it’s a comin’!

Should make for some interesting playoff football in Buffalo! And in KC, it’s supposed to drop to -5 degrees for the sat night game!!

GAD,
You should check with the neighbours.
Maybe they shovelled it while you were sleeping.

That would be interesting since we live in the woods and don’t really have neighbors. Also this is NJ. People don’t talk to their neighbors here. :)

Funny.
I've always thought the expression "interesting playoff football" was an oxymoron.
