So now is the toughest part of the whole ordeal as mentioned before: Guitar is here but can only stare at the case......
Waiting for the "grabbing" part anxiously (that'll be another bottle...Saint Emilion maybe)..... :wink: :mrgreen:

Me Too!!! It is definitely going to be "Toasting Time" pretty soon! Already been acclimating well over a Day.....so maybe 6 to 12 more hours.....YEEHAW!!!

Haven't had a drink in almost 20 years...but I am headed out right now to buy some Apple Cider.....SPARKLING NO LESS.....WAITING FOR THE EMAIL FROM SG....AND THEN.....DOWN THE HATCH!!!!!

Where IS that SG? Y'know this kind of reminds me of the old Italian tradition where the whole village waits for the mother-in-law to bring out the sheets from the wedding night and hang 'em up, you know, to prove her new daughter in law was a virgin.... :lol:

This Guitar ...........IS EVERYTHING that I had hoped for AND MORE!!!!! ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!!!! ( she looks far beter in person, the wood, the color, the finish....like NEW!) .........Wonderfully set up ( plays like a dream!!!) and the excellent repairs cannot even be seen ( THANKS TODD).....and MOST importantlay ...SHE SOUNDS GREAT!!!! ( THANKS DADTHRASH!!) I AM LOVING THIS BABY ALREADY!!! She IS PERFECT!!!!
I have gotten up early just to play her this morning....BEFORE sunrise!!!! and so it was just me and the dogs, and a cup of coffee....and this wonderful guitar to greet this new day as the sun came up and the birds started singing. Guys, THIS guitar has found her home!!!!
I am SO grateful, and thankful,...and MOTIVATED!!!!

I have been meaning to get in touch with you all :oops: ........but, CRAZY DAYS here...as my wife has decided to give the garage ( we call it our 'studio', pottery, painting, sculpture, etc... but it was a MESS! and we are neatnics!!! :roll: So a MAJOR CLEAN OUT was in order!!!)a HUGE cleanout these days.....yep EVERYTHING OUT, and sorted.....cleaned, etc. Stuff on the back decking....everywhere!!! Ive HAD to tend to THIS ....AND make sure she doesnt throw out anything 'important". :lol: THIS has all been going on as the guitar has been settling in......THATS where I have befallen.......Ive been meaning to get back to you all....but was swallowed up!!! Even NOW, we are going to luch at a local cafe.....I NEED the rest!!!! then back home...This time to just relax and aquaint myself with this beauty siome MORE!!! My fingers are already a bit sore! I just dont want to stop playing this one.......Thinking back to 1977, and where I was in my life ( only 16)....and thinking about this guitar ....just being a new guitar..........Oh the times inbetween here and there, Pretty cool thinking about all that, and just playing this lovely guitar. All the upgrades on her look GREAT, the bone nut, saddle, endpins, ebony strap pins.....all contribute to the whole look , feel, and sound of this one........FANTASTIC......SUPERNATURAL
GREAT Big THANKS to Dadthrash.....he has been at the CENTER of all this goodness, and has done EVERYTHING to the highest standard.......at many levels.
Thanks to Todd, at Fretworks ( I shall email him a personal thanks soon) for his excellent workmanship and care.
And THANK YOU to my wonderful 'BROTHER' in law, for his heartfel and perceptive,...Generous intervention.
Alot of love and kindness and craftsmanship and care went into getting this baby Here.....She is already being loved, and most importantly ..PLAYED!!!!

But ,.....I gotta go Out to Lunch!!!
When i get home......., Ill have another weee dram of the good Scotch, and play This beauty till the sun goes down...

This is the one we've all been waiting for brother SG......
Really feels good to have followed this perfect storm which ends just like we wanted it to end, no bad surprise (I'm always stressed when a guitar is being shipped) it was smooth and exciting all the way, now keep making that baby sing, I know she will return the love you show her!!!!!
Don't forget to post the pics in the excitement now!!!!!!! :lol:

Congrats SG...what an odessy! So happy to hear of your happiness! I want to tell you to enjoy that Guild but I know it is already the case! You are very fortunate and blessed indeed. This guitar won't need to be mojofied, but I know the mojo will increase.
