Could anyone please tell me the approximate value of a Blonde 1978 Guild G37 in pristine condition? Also, if the top, sides, or back is laminate? I can only find bits ad pieces of info on this particular model. Thanks very much in advance!
If it really is pristine as you said, I'd try for $950.
I had a '76 G-37 for many years. It was far from pristine but sounded incredible. I sold it locally two years ago for $800 via CL.
I think G-37's are very special instruments. I'll be adding another somewhere down the line.
FWIW, I think that book on the G37 is too low, also. I think the G37, and it's reincarnation to the D-30, can be really special.
Hey I see a first post. Welcome aboard!Just bought one on *bay for $720. It was advertised as an '84 but the serial number on the back of the headstock appears to show it as a '76. I've been wanting a maple acoustic for a while and also wanting a Guild, so this one fills the bill for both. Can't wait to get my hands on it!
Bummer.....at those prices I was going to get one!!!!!This thread is 11 years old.
Here is the reverb price guide. You can use ones that have actually sold as reference. They haven't gone up much and honestly at up to $1100, these guitars are a total steal.Bummer.....at those prices I was going to get one!!!!!
Misty water-colored memories of the way we were.It was fun to see these old prices and dream a bit!!
Thanks for the heads up...I am new to the forum...I saw the post from Sunday and thought it was a new thread...Now I know to look at the origination date. Either way, still have my eye on a G37...This thread is 11 years old.
