Hello everyone!

Just joined the forum and fairly new to Guilds! Thought I would say a friendly "hello" and share with you all the Guild that I have here. It's a DV52-NT HG and I don't think I have to explain much about it, most of you already know everything about the Guild family. It's my first Guild and I love it! These are real solid guitars and the sound out of this DV52 (to my ears at least) is outstanding!!! This one is a Westerly 1996 model so I imagine that means something around here too. :D

Curious to get some opinions on the model as they seem scarce and even compare them to the rest of the Guild family.

It's a terrible weekend up here in Canada so I thought the timing was right to speak out. And I know the thread is useless without photos so here you go:

Welcome who, where abouts in Canuckistan are you from anyway?

The DV-52 has a very loyal following here, and rightly so. Outstanding guitar, tremendous sound, very well built.

Hey thanks everyone.

@Graham

I'm near Toronto. Where are you from? Giving the slang and the beaver, someone in the great wide north!

Welcome to LTG! A DV-52 is a nice Guild to start a collection... or a nice place to complete one. Doubt it will be both, unless there's a bunch in between... D

@dreadnut

Nothing special. Just bought it off a guy who couldn't adjust to the neck. Tried it out and decided to buy it. Lately I have thrown on some erie ball strings and it sounds FANTASTIC!!!

I wanted to ask, if I ever need to have work done to it where is a good place to take it? I'm in the Greater Toronto Area. Any well known guys?

So true. 8)

I have a D-25-12 on the way. Don't want to report back to the group until it's a keeper.
