Yeah, I don't love that color either. In the Gibson world naturals are valued a lot higher than other colors. Supposedly, Gibson chose the best looking wood for the naturals and covered up lesser wood with darker colors. I imagine Guild did something similar, but I'm not sure.

This is my old M80. Loved looking at it, but didn't enjoy playing it.

L.A., does this work for you? The price is a little steep, but maybe you could work out a trade? Looks to be in decent shape and -- hey -- the TRC is on the right way.

WHOA. That's a rough one for that price tag.

Plus, I'm swearing off naturals from here on out.

Thanks for thinking of me, though!

How about this one?

Too beat up for my taste. But sadly it's hard to find one in excellent condition that would be actually for sale.[/quote:rnmayi33]

Imagine, though, taking this thing gigging. People would wonder what the heck it was and why it sounded so good! You wouldn't have to worry a whole lot about getting more scratches on it either! I wonder how much the reserve is.

That is a beautiful guitar!

Yep, I wish it was still available when Kslam first posted it.[/quote:2nkh5u0j]

Ugh! What was I thinking?! I should've kept it.

What was it that you didn't dig? You seem to gravitate more more to semi & full hollow-bodies according to your sig & past posts I remember.

Great looking guitar for sure.

I do love semi-hollow and hollowbodies, but I also play Strats, Teles, and other solidbodies. I really wanted to fall for the M80, but I just never felt comfortable with it. For one, it's extremely heavy, but that wasn't the deal breaker for me. Ergonomically, it just wasn't a good fit for me. Especially when seated, it felt awkwardly balanced and it seemed like I had to extend my left arm an awfully long way to reach the first few frets. I'm sure I would've gotten used to it had it become one of my primary guitars, but since I had other guitars that covered similar sonic terrain, I never spent that much time playing it. It really was gorgeous though!

Thanks. Some guitars just feel right, others don't. That's why you need to try them all.
